Meet the Artist

Born and raised in Southern California and now living in the incredibly picturesque city of Le Claire, Iowa, Airyn started out as a professional tattoo artist (tattooing under the name "Skinderella") and has now evolved into a very well rounded, talented artist whose professional career spans over 20 years. Although she has not picked up a tattoo machine in quite a while, her passion for art is still alive and well in everything she does!

Skinderella is Airyn, they are one in the same! During her time tattooing, she began volunteering at her daughter's elementary school. She taught art classes to the Kindergartners, created a gigantic mural on the handball court and created tons of artwork all over the campus. She then directed the 3rd Grade Alice in Wonderland play, designed the set, did painting classes to raise funds for field trips and created art for the school every chance she got. She then began teaching after school art classes at Newland Elementary in Huntington Beach ,and then eventually teaching the entire school.  She has taught over 600 students to date!

I’m Katie, a local artist with a passion for uniquely made and thoughtfully found treasures. I believe in blending sparkly details, vintage charm, and creative inspiration. My work is rooted in sustainability and the joy of turning everyday materials into meaningful art. I love guiding artists of all ages as they explore, experiment, and discover their own creative voice. In every class, I hope to spark imagination, encourage confidence, and celebrate the magic of making something truly one-of-a-kind.

Elise Ward is an elementary art teacher from Le Claire, Iowa, with more than 15 years of experience inspiring young artists in grades Pre-K through 8. She currently teaches in the North Scott Community School District and believes strongly in creative, student-focused learning that builds confidence through art.

She is thrilled to join the Wonderland Art Collective and looks forward to sharing her love of art through welcoming, inclusive workshops for the community.
